WHO IS TAPTAP?

Let's get something out of the way: I'm not the gamer your algorithm recommends. I'm 56. I don't have a ring light. My setup is functional, not photogenic. And my K/D ratio is something I discuss with absolutely nobody.

But here's the thing — I love gaming. Always have. I've been playing video games since the days when "graphics" meant a slightly different shade of green on a black screen. And somewhere along the way, I discovered that Call of Duty wasn't just a game to me — it was a way to unwind, compete, and connect with people.

"Gaming isn't about age. It's about showing up, having a laugh, and occasionally getting a kill that makes you feel like a god for exactly 3.5 seconds before you're immediately taken out by someone half your age." — x_TapTap_x, probably after a lucky streak

WHY STREAMING?

I didn't start streaming because I had a "content strategy" or a dream of going full-time. I started because playing games alone in a room felt like it could be more fun with company. And it turns out, it really is.

Streaming for me is just playing games with the chat on. Sometimes people show up. Sometimes it's just me narrating my own failures to an empty room. Both are fine. When people do show up, though, that's the best part — the banter, the backseat gaming, the shared "did you just see that?!" moments.

THE JOURNEY SO FAR

THE EARLY YEARS

GAMING ORIGINS

Started gaming when consoles were measured in "bits" and online multiplayer was science fiction. Built a love for shooters and competitive play long before it was cool.

CALL OF DUTY ERA

FOUND MY GAME

Discovered Call of Duty and never really looked back. The franchise became the go-to way to spend free time, decompress, and occasionally shout at a screen.

THE STREAMING CHAPTER

HIT THE BUTTON

Decided to try streaming on Twitch. Expected nothing, got a community. 233 followers and counting — slowly, but counting. Also started posting clips to TikTok and YouTube because why not.

NOW

STILL HERE, STILL AVERAGE

100+ streams deep. Still enjoying it. Still average. Still not checking the K/D. The Discord is growing, the vibes are good, and that's genuinely all that matters.

WHAT THIS ISN'T

This isn't a brand. It's not a business plan. There's no merch drop coming (unless someone really wants a "Still Learning The Maps" t-shirt, in which case... maybe). This is just a corner of the internet for a bloke who plays Call of Duty, enjoys the odd stream, and has somehow convinced a few hundred people to come along for the ride.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, come find me on Twitch, join the Discord, or just drop a follow wherever you hang out online. No pressure. No commitment. Just vibes.

"Average gamer. Above average vibes." — The unofficial motto. We should probably get it trademarked. We won't.

COME HANG OUT

No clout required. No skill check at the door. Just a chill place for people who enjoy gaming, banter, and not taking themselves too seriously.
